Ready Player Me is Trialing its Generative Avatar Service

Ready Player Me announced it will be trialing a generative AI avatar service through the implementation of OpenAI's DALL-E software. DALL-E is a deep learning model that generates digital images from inputted prompts. In terms of how this will augment Ready Player Me, the metaverse game will use DALL-E to allow users to create clothes and accessories for their avatars, while potentially branching into allowing for full avatar generation in the future.

When speaking on Ready Player Me's new focus on AI, the CEO of the company, Timmu Tõke, stated: “Generative AI will definitely change how 3D content is created and avatars are created. We are aiming to be at the forefront of that and understand how things are changing and then change ourselves with that.”
