WIND AND SEA Reworks the ASICS' GEL-NIMBUS 9 Sneaker

ASICS’ popular GEL-NIMBUS 9 has been reworked by Takahashi Kumagai’s streetwear label WIND AND SEA. After debuting a special “galaxy matter” collaboration with Kiko Kostadinov on the runway, ASICS’ tones it down with WIND AND SEA’s traditional, retro-inspired influences. The release comprises two seasonal colorways in ‘Cream/Pure Silver’ and ‘White/Pure Silver,’ boasting ASICS’ signature GEl midsoles that are connected using a torsion arch. These sneakers opt for mesh uppers and reinforce them using patented leather.

Additional details include GEL-NIMBUS 9 banners on the tongue tabs and ‘SEA’ branding on the heel. The ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 9 in ‘Cream/Pure Silver’ and ‘White/Pure Silver’ are available in Asia at ASICS and are slated for North American and European release on October 22.
