These Futuristic Sneakers Offer a Modern Take on Traditional Danish Clogs

The Dutch Minister of Education, Innovation and Science recently commissioned a team of designers to create a pair of futuristic sneakers that are both innovative and comfortable. When it comes to buying shoes, consumers are often forced to choose between style and comfort. This team of designers managed to create a pair of shoes that offers the best of both worlds.

The individuals tasked with designing the futuristic sneakers included Leonie Tenthof van Noorden, industrial designer Troy Nachtigall and fashion designer Pauline van Dongen. In order to create a pair of shoes that featured a stylish yet comfortable design, the team created a replica of the Minter's feet. The designers then used a 3D printer to create a pair of shoes that matched the Minister's stride and activity level. The end result is a pair of custom shoes that offer a contemporary take on traditional Danish clogs.

The 3D-printed shoes represent the next step in shoe manufacturing because of the endless opportunities for customization.
