After seeing these photos from the Fall 2009 collections at New York Fashion Week, it's become evident not all modern day designers are afraid of PETA, that’s fur darn sure.

The Great Depression (1929-1939) seems to have had a huge influence on modern fashion, a suitable theme for today’s economic times. However, in addition to cheap-chic couture, designers are pumping out the finer staples that separated the more affluent back in the day, fur fashions being a key component.

Featured in the gallery are looks from the Fall 2009 shows including fur-fashion by Matthew Williamson, Zac Posen, Aquascutum, Jaeger London and Todd Lynn.
