Though scattering cremated ashes into the water may seem romantic, the idea has become a little cliche, especially when talking about funerals for pets.
Inspired by the idea of ashes to ashes, Craig Hull, a trained circus performer and pyrotechnician, decided to launch his beloved pet’s ashes into the sky as colorful fireworks to reflect the fiery impact it had on his life. As the flames sparkle and burn over the Sydney Harbor in Australia, the ashes are simultaneously released from the sealed tube as it explodes, sprinkling the gray remnants into the water.
Conducted similar to a human’s funeral, Hull’s Australian funeral for pets service, Ashes to Ashes, costs just under $1,000 and includes four sets of fireworks that are accompanied by a soundtrack and catered bar.
