The 'Essential Maple Facial' from Omni Hotels & Resorts is a 50-minute seasonal spa treatment that puts an upscale spin on the food facial. The treatment is powered by a 'Bio-Maple Compound' that's derived from the sap of the maple tree, which is known to be extremely rich in antioxidants and minerals.
Outside of the spa, Omni Hotels & Resorts is also using maple syrup as a star ingredient in restaurant dishes like cardamom-maple salmon salads, grilled garden vegetables with miso-maple-carrot sauce and maple-peach margaritas.
With record-setting maple syrup harvests, the maple syrup industry is making a push to get consumers to see that what it produces is more than just a good companion to pancakes. As such maple syrup is now popping up as a staple ingredient in restaurant meals, packaged foods and personal care products.
