Gordon Christensen, from Dickinson, North Dakota, is the creator of the NoDak -- a food cooler that does away with any melting ice that can damage the contents of the interior.
The idea for the NoDak came about when Gordon Christensen was fed up with seeing his food ruined by exposed ice -- which made it soggy and nearly inedible. To change this, he decided to include a cylinder within his food cooler design, allowing consumers to place items that they don't want to touch melting ice inside of the chamber.
With this, food is kept dry and cold, as well as safe from heavy drink cans and bottles. When consumers wish to retrieve food from the NoDak, they simply remove the cylinder while their drinks stay emerged in the ice.
