LCLDIY's PlayStation 2 DUO turns the home console into a DIY portable by combining its controls with a screen that bends at the center, so PS2 fans can close it between sessions. The layout stays familiar, with the PlayStation face buttons and twin sticks set into a purple shell around the display.
A 7.8-inch panel salvaged from a foldable phone spans the middle as one continuous display, avoiding the split look of two separate screens. Inside, the build uses trimmed original PlayStation 2 hardware instead of emulation, while custom boards and a 3D-printed case make it compact enough to hold in both hands.
LCLDIY has shared the enclosure files and circuit-board archive on the project page, giving experienced hobbyists a starting point for building their own version. The process still involves modifying original PS2 hardware and working with a flexible display, so the DUO is better suited to confident console modders than casual DIY fans.
