Folding Electric Scooters

The MUV-e Scooter Can Be Folded Up in Three Seconds

The MUV-e is a delightful three-wheeled folding electric scooter that can be folded up into a suitcase-sized package in just three seconds. This scooter, a prototype for which was first unveiled back in 2013, comes with a carbon fiber and aluminum chassis and carbon fiber cover -- it weighs between 14 and 18 kg depending on the version.

The scooter's range on a full charge has been expanded to 30 km. A 36 volt brushless motor produces enough power to achieve a peak speed of 32 km/h. The vehicle moves on a pair of 12.5-inch alloy wheels to the front, a 10-inch rear wheel and a 140 mm disc brake.

The folding electric scooter is expected to be available 3-6 months from now in select markets for a price of $2,000.
