Whimsical Foam Furniture

Lewu's 'Borrowing for Birth' is Characterized by Soft Pastel Colors

Chinese design studio Lewu debuted a collection of foam furniture that is absolutely striking and bound to capture the attention of audiences. The range includes stool and table silhouettes that have been covered with a bubbly foam. The texture is quite intriguing and makes for a wonderfully extravagant characteristic, while the soft pastels that adorn the exterior also contribute to the overall ethereal quality of the foam furniture.

The curious effect has been reached as the "viscous liquid solution" that Lewu used "released hydrogen and bubbles to form a silicone foam." As the technique cannot be fully controlled, the shapes and forms of the foam furniture become unpredictable and there is great beauty to be found in the organic forms.

In addition, Lewu uses second-hand furniture for its 'Borrowing for Birth' collection.
