Pharmacy-Based Flu Vaccinations

Boots Expands Seasonal Immunization Through Its Stores

Boots is expanding access to seasonal flu protection by delivering NHS and private vaccinations through its pharmacy network. NHS vaccinations began September 1 for initial eligible groups, including pregnant women, while the Boots Private Winter Flu Jab service launches September 22. From October 1, the wider NHS rollout extends to eligible adult groups, with childhood flu vaccinations also available at more than 140 selected Boots stores. Customers can check eligibility and book appointments online or through local pharmacies.

The approach positions Boots stores as accessible destinations for preventive healthcare while encouraging customers to seek protection earlier in the flu season. For Boots, expanding vaccination services can increase pharmacy engagement beyond traditional prescription and retail purchases while bringing more customers into stores. Offering both NHS and private options also broadens its potential audience and strengthens the retailer’s role in delivering community-based seasonal healthcare services.
