At its San Francisco headquarters, Pinterest offers its employees great fitness perks that enable them to take part in a variety of classes to improve their health and wellness. Like many other companies, the platform had to turn to remote work in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, however it didn't want to deprive its employees of the fitness perks that so many had come to love.
In search of a solution, Pinterest turned to virtual alternatives, allowing its employees to take part in classes via Zoom and Google Hangouts. To make sure that everyone was aware of which classes were taking place, the company also set up a wellness calendar so they could plan their activities ahead of time. Pinterest even added a dance class that working parents could involve their kids in.
