Firefox 69 will default block mining activities related to both the user's cookies and crypto information. The new security features for Firefox 69 are being released for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android users of the browser. The new security capabilities are the result of a partnership with Disconnect. The browser will also not allow fingerprinting scripts, which take device information from users.
The enhanced security features of the browser could help it find more users. Many users who own cryptocurrencies could be drawn in by the security features. Additionally, many people value online privacy and Firefox appears to be catering to this user base.
Other improvements have been added to the browser, notably the ability to block videos that automatically play -- aiming to perform better than previous versions.
