The Fiddle Oak Miniaturized Self-Portraits are Fantastical

Fiddle Oak (Zev) has enchanted us with his photography before, but the 14-year-old continues to mesmerize with photos from his 'Little Folk' self-portrait series. The teenager from Natick, Massachusetts betrays his relative youth with photos that depict him miniaturized to the same scale of a leaf or a paper crane as he explores the expansive, spellbinding world around him.

While there is no denying Fiddle Oak's talent, the impressions the photos create produce a sense of mystical adventurism, as well as a deep and spirited path towards self-discovery. While Fiddle Oak's Flickr account mentions that "he is lonely and loves getting flickrmail," the photos show him to be enjoying a youthfulness that culminates in him sitting in an acorn, walking into a gulf of flames and playing violin while perched on the edge of a rock.
