Music-Making Helmets

The Experience Helmet Converts Brainwaves Into Musical Compositions

Lithuanian sound artist Aiste Noreikaite created this high-tech helmet called 'Experience Helmet,' which converts one's brainwaves into music. The helmet is able to translate the activity inside one's brain and turn this activity into music. Contained inside the helmet, each user will be submersed in their own private concert.

The helmet's aesthetic is that of a piece of normal motorcycle equipment, but it is loaded with high-tech abilities. The sound that is emitted is an electronic beat that matches the mood or feelings of the wearer.

This piece of technology provides users with a personalized soundtrack that changes to suit each person. The Experience Helmet is able to convert times of meditation or stress into musical compositions. Noreikaite states, "The neurons in the brain communicate through electricity, so I thought that electronic tones would be perfect for that."
