A German company called Hase Bikes is preparing to launch the 'Pino Cargo,' an innovative new cargo e-bike that can be used as a solo two-wheeler but also makes use of telescoping mechanisms to be able to add on everything from extra cargo to an addition seat for a child or adult passenger.
The default setup of the 'Pino Cargo' can be enhanced by adding a cargo bag at the front that is capable of handling a payload of up to 88 pounds. Users also have the option of eschewing the cargo bag in order to create room for recumbent seating that can be accessed by one passenger.
Given that the maximum load that the 'Pino Cargo' is capable of hauling is close to 500 pounds, electric assist is a must, which is why this cargo e-bike is fitted with a mid-drive motor assist system that works in conjunction with a 630-Wh battery.
Priced starting at $11,700, the 'Pino Cargo' is ideal for use for single users, couples and small families who are able and willing to access bike infrastructure to go about their day.
