X Launches Creator Subscriptions with Exclusive Threads

X rolled out an upgrade to its Creator Subscriptions, introducing 'Exclusive Threads' that let creators sell access to individual conversations directly on the platform, featuring a refreshed paywall, shareable subscriptions cards, and a new dashboard. The rollout came from X, which positioned the update to help creators monetize without redirecting followers to external newsletters or sites.

The update bundles marketing and analytics tools: a shareable Subscriptions card for promotion, a two-step onboarding flow, faster application reviews and a dashboard that tracks earnings and subscriber insights. X also added a Paid Partnership label for sponsored posts to improve transparency and compliance.

For creators and fans, the changes simplify signing up, discovery and management of paid content, making micro-subscriptions more native and shareable on X and reflecting a broader trend toward platform-first creator revenue tools.
