The Emotive Teapot is by industrial designer and electrical engineer Jack Craig. Inspired by traditional Asian tea service Craig created a kettle that can serve its piping hot contents from either side.
Housed inside a specially designed holder that contains the Emotive Teapot and two cups, the kettle can be gently rocked back and forth for ease of service. This was meant to mimic positive gestures such as nodding or bowing.
Implications - In today's competitive market, companies can no longer get by selling products that are functional and affordable. An element of innovation and eccentricity must be present in even the most everyday products to capture the attention of consumers.
