Iberia has opened the Iberia Emerald Lounge Sorolla at Madrid Barajas Airport, debuting on September 10, 2026 after a recent soft opening and intended solely for oneworld Emerald members. The facility serves passengers at Terminal 4 boarding zones H, J, K and M and operates daily from 5:30AM until 11PM. The lounge occupies space adjacent to Iberia’s existing Dali Lounge in the Schengen side of the terminal.
The Sorolla lounge offers a curated food menu alongside a buffet, bartender-prepared cocktails and barista coffee, plus private rest areas including bedrooms for sleeping. Design details are described as upscale, and the space is positioned as a premium environment specifically for the alliance’s highest tier. Access rules follow oneworld Emerald membership rather than class of service.
For eligible travelers, the lounge promises a first-class-style preflight experience with dedicated service and quieter facilities for regional departures. The dedicated Emerald-only setting gives top-tier frequent flyers a distinct place to relax and dine before Schengen flights.
