Electric Commercial Landscaping Fleets

EGO Adds Zero-Turn Mowers & a Charging Hub for Landscapers

EGO is expanding its commercial zero-turn mower lineup for professional landscapers with three battery-powered riders, plus a leaf blower and string trimmer that keep mowing and cleanup on a single platform. A compact stand-on option also brings the range to tighter properties where larger riders are harder to maneuver.

The 'PGX Hub' delivers 30 kWh of overnight charging from a standard 120V outlet, giving larger landscaping operations a centralized way to prep equipment without electrical upgrades. The mowers can recharge handheld batteries in the field, and the 'Commercial Fleet App' lets managers track battery status and adjust charging across a crew.

Charging from a standard household outlet turns fleet electrification into an equipment decision instead of a facility project for landscaping businesses. The shared battery platform and app-backed oversight move electric yard gear closer to a coordinated B2B fleet system instead of a collection of separate tools.

Outlet-based Fleet Charging
Standard 120V charging hubs reduce infrastructure barriers for commercial operators, creating room for modular energy systems that scale electrified equipment fleets without costly facility upgrades.
Shared Battery Platforms
Unified batteries across mowers, blowers, and trimmers support more efficient asset utilization, enabling service providers to streamline operations through interoperable power ecosystems.
App-managed Equipment Fleets
Connected oversight of charge levels and equipment usage introduces data-driven fleet coordination, opening possibilities for predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and productivity benchmarking.

Who This Affects Most

Commercial Landscaping
Battery-powered zero-turn and stand-on mowers shift professional lawn care toward quieter, lower-emission service models that can differentiate providers in residential and municipal markets.
Outdoor Power Equipment
Electrified tool ecosystems are reshaping product development around platform compatibility, software integration, and commercial-grade runtime rather than single-device performance.
Fleet Management Software
Digital monitoring for distributed equipment crews expands fleet software beyond vehicles, making compact machinery, batteries, and handheld tools part of connected operations management.
