Election-Themed Sneakers

These Limited-Edition Converse All Stars Encourage Americans to Vote

Despite the controversy surrounding this year's republican and democratic candidates, the importance of voting is being instilled by many companies and celebrities -- including Converse with its new election-themed sneakers.

Using the Chuck Tailor All Star, a model that became iconic back in the 1970s, the footwear brand covers the usually canvas uppers with a more luxurious suede. On it, peace signs that are made from the American flag add some contrast.

In order to keep the election-themed sneakers relevant to the time they were made for, Converse will be releasing them at the end of October and in limited quantities. The design is finished off with a classic white sole, along with a red and white stripe to carry the patriotic theme throughout.
