Mezco's Living Dead Doll 'Sadie' is Running for President

As the race for the American presidency gains momentum, an unexpected candidate has playfully thrown her hat into the ring: Sadie, the Living Dead Doll.

Not quite mainstream yet not entirely underground, The Living Dead Dolls are a series of collectibles that hold the world record for Longest Continually Produced Series of Horror-Themed Collectible Dolls. Now in their 18th year, the dolls are a celebration of creepy fun and can be found not only in the collections of neighborhood children but in museums as well. Director and superfan Guillermo del Toro has his on display at his infamous Bleak House. The dolls have popped up on Big Bang Theory, Supernatural and the recent award-winning documentary The Queen Of Versailles.

Now, collectors can support Sadie, who is considered the unofficial “leader” of the dolls, in her bid for presidency with a campaign package sure to delight fans and bewilder those not in the know. The pack contains a shirt, buttons, a lawn sign, bumper sticker, magnet and a poster. To add an extra thrill, the creators of the Living Dead Dolls will be giving prizes each week to fans who post pix of themselves "campaigning" and use the hashtag #VoteSadie
