'Eero Labs' Lets Consumers Try Out Cutting-Edge Features

Eero, one of the companies that introduced consumers to the concept of mesh WiFi networks, has established itself as a player at the forefront of last mile internet delivery, and the newly announced 'Eero Labs' feature shows that the company is committed to that status. The app-based feature gives consumers access to a growing playground of cutting-edge tools and functions that Eero has yet rolled out en masse, letting consumers see the potential future of WiFi for themselves.

The first feature in Eero Labs is Smart Queue Management. It lets Eero's modem automatically and intelligently decide which devices receive priority data treatment, whereas in the past that decision tree had to be sorted out manually (in a process that is undoubtedly confusing for anyone without a reasonable degree of technical expertise).

All Eero Labs features now and in the future will be set to "off" by default, and users will have the option to activate them through the app whenever they choose.
