Atleos dual-sided ATM concept demonstrates innovation with the support of AI by Atleos, and how forward-thinking financial institutions stand to benefit from enhanced operational performance and smarter ATM designs with smaller footprints and shared critical components.
This AI-assisted design consists of two functional ATM screens on opposite sides with less weight, cost and complexity than legacy dual-sided styles, plus 3D-printed components to reduce manufacturing waste and customizable aesthetics like the colored light emitted on the device's exterior. “We have reimagined the dual-sided ATM with the support of AI to deliver a smaller footprint, shared componentry and sustainable materials—creating a concept that aligns with modern banking needs," explained Sean Mallean, head of global innovation at Atleos.
Notably, the Atleos dual-sided ATM remains in proof-of-concept phase and isn't on the current research and development roadmap for commercialization.
