LaFontaine Automotive Group is rolling out UVeye’s “MRI for Cars” drive-thru inspection systems across more than 40 Michigan locations. The complimentary vehicle health scans use computer vision and deep learning to analyze tires, undercarriages and exteriors in seconds, with UVeye claiming 96% accuracy. Captured images allow drivers to review potential issues and receive a consultation.
UVeye’s systems are trained on a proprietary database of vehicle components and defects. More than 1,000 systems are deployed globally across dealerships, fleets, auctions, rental operations and logistics facilities, scanning over 3 million vehicles monthly.
Available to Michigan drivers regardless of vehicle type or purchase location, the service offers faster, more transparent checks before road trips, vehicle transactions, teen driving or post-accident evaluations. The network reflects dealerships’ shift toward AI-assisted diagnostics and gives LaFontaine a complimentary service touchpoint that can build trust, identify repair needs and deepen customer relationships across its statewide footprint.
