The latest DL1961 jean products stem from the brand's collaboration with Bag Snob curator Tina Craig. Craig took to Twitter to compliment the company, and the DL line was soon inundated with orders from all over the world. A partnership between the two fashion figureheads seemed most appropriate.
Craig's vision for DL is practical. She aimed to create pants suited to an array of occasions, hence her development of the travel jean, daily jean, Sunday brunch jean, black tie substitute jean and the hipster jean. Contemporary women wear many hats, and these styles acknowledge the prevalent lifestyle.
This particular collection is distinguished by its faded coloring. Darker shades are used around the hips and thighs. They continue to lighten around the calves, a design choice that deliberately gives off a slimming effect.
