Techno DJ Richie Hawtin Designs his own DJ Mixer to Break Boundaries

Internationally celebrated techno DJ Richie Hawtin has unveiled his own DJ mixer that will allow for maximum sound quality and production freedom.

As Hawtin states, "Model 1 is for artists who strive to unlock and expand their own innate creativity." Created in collaboration with product designer Andy Rigby-Jones, the Model One has been in testing and is available for pre-order now, however will not be officially released until June through PLAYdifferently.

Hawtin's DJ mixer allows for more possibilities than competing products because it incorporates more channel mixers which will enable artists to add more instruments and turntables to their sound. Although the product requires a new technique, Hawtin is confident that the freedom it will grant to producers will make the mixer a vital tool for serious DJs.
