Students of Carnegie Mellon University have developed the unique Air Quality Balloon which gathers and monitors the quality of surrounding air.
Containing tri-colored LEDs, the balloons carry an air quality sensor and rechargeable batteries. The LEDs change colors according to the data gathered. These glowing balloons have an inspiring and mystical outlook while ensuring you know the quality of the air you breathe.
Implications - With the current environmental movement educating the consumer public about the hazardous nature of many products, consumers are becoming more concerned about their environmental health. Gadgets and services that offer concerned consumers the ability to self-check the healthy nature of their surroundings will continue to become favored by consumers from all lifestyles.
