Artist Direct Sales Features

SoundCloud Now Allows Direct Music Sales

SoundCloud introduced a direct music sales feature that will let creators sell tracks from their profile pages, beginning with a beta for 200 U.S.-based Artist Pro subscribers. The feature includes a built-in purchase flow, artist-controlled digital format options and integration with SoundCloud’s existing Artist Studio and Fan Support dashboards.

Artists will still pay processing fees and applicable taxes, but SoundCloud said it will not take a cut of sales. The company plans to use feedback from the initial creator group to refine the experience before expanding access to more artists later this fall. SoundCloud already supports other direct monetization options, including ticket sales and on-demand vinyl pressings.

For listeners, the feature creates a more direct path from music discovery to ownership without leaving SoundCloud. For creators, native track sales add another revenue stream while consolidating discovery, fan engagement and commerce within a single profile.
