Bungie is Developing a Mobile 'Destiny' Title with NetEase

'Bungie,' the American game development studio most known for its sci-fi first-person shooters 'Halo' and 'Destiny,' has teamed up with the Chinese mobile game developer 'NetEase' to create a Destiny mobile game. Destiny is one of the most successful games across all consoles and PC as it has a free-to-play model with optional downloadable content and cosmetics that cost small amounts of money. This has led to the game garnering a massive player base over the course of the franchise's 9-year history.

NetEase is the mobile game developer responsible for creating some of the largest mobile ports of high-profile games, such as 'EVE Echoes' and 'Diablo Immortal.' As such, Bungie believed NetEase would be a fitting company to develop the Destiny mobile game while respecting the original series.
