The Krispy Kreme Destination Dessert Collection has been developed by the brand as a series of menu items that embrace Latin American cuisine to take customers on a vacation when enjoying a staycation this summer.
The range features three donut flavors that are based on classic desserts that starts off with the unglazed shell donut filled with tres leches Kreme and topped with sweet creme-inspired buttercreme, cake donut crumbs and cinnamon. The next up is the guava cheesecake unglazed donut that's filled with cheesecake Kreme and guava filling, covered in a guava icing and topped with icing and crunch. Finally, the choco dulce cookie crunch unglazed shell donut pays homage to chocotorta with a chocolate dulce cookie Kreme filling, chocolate icing and chocolate cookie crumble, and a final topping of dulce de leche butter creme.
Chief Brand and Product Officer Alison Holder spoke on the Krispy Kreme Destination Dessert Collection saying, "We love taking fans on delicious adventures through flavor, and our Destination Dessert Collection is our sweetest journey yet. Inspired by some of Latin America's most iconic desserts, each doughnut reimagines a beloved classic into an indulgent, one-of-a-kind treat that delivers a delicious escape with every bite."
