Francophone Fashion Designer Denis Gagnon Presents his Film

Two weeks ago, The National Post published an article dubbed “Montreal Fashion Week: Why isn’t Denis Gagnon famous yet?” The hub of Montreal has been wondering the same thing. Gagnon’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection closed one of the less prominent fashion weeks and featured some of the fashion world’s current favourites: leather, zippers, fur, fringe, and black.

In line with Valentino and Lagerfeld, his fashion documentary is screening this month at FIFA (International Festival of Films on Art), and is entitled Je m’appelle Denis Gagnon, or for you die-hard Anglophones, “My Name is Denis Gagnon.” This season, he actually needed two shows in order to house all the guests. Plus, he hides behind the best Lanvin glasses in town.
