Brooklyn-based photographer Billy Kidd released a series of stunning photographs entitled 'Decaying Roses' and it's almost hard to believe these flowers are dying.
Set to a dark black background and a single spotlight on each rose, these still-life portraits of roses on the brink of death are captivating. So full of color and with so much detail, it's a mystery as to how such beautiful things could be dying so slowly. Billy Kidd has done a magnificent job in showcasing these wondrous flowers; the subtle blackness all around them really draws your attention to their florescent beauty.
Billy does not specialize in still life images alone, he happens to be a terrific portrait photographer as well. He has won a number of awards recently for his portrait work and his upcoming show in NYC at the Clic Gallery is sure to be another success.
