The French illustrator David Amblard has released an incredible classic movie poster adaptation set. Although the motion picture advertisements have yet to be revisited by the official production companies, Amblard has demonstrated that it is up to the artist to spearhead such a venture, and that there is much freedom involved in the process.
The David Amblard posters are reworkings of classic motion picture imagery. Timeless films like The Exorcist, The Breakfast Club and Taxi Driver have archetypal visions that are commonly associated with the masterpieces. And while these visions have remained consistently relevant to the pieces, Amblard has refashioned the status quo with a high dosage of color and far more punch.
These refurbished advertisements will no doubt be welcomed into the homes of many dedicated film buffs.
