If you are the kind of person who regularly loses your belongings, the Davek Alert Umbrella ensures your umbrella will never get lost again. Created by Dave Kahng, the high-performance umbrella connects to your smartphone and has a texting transmitter. Currently fundraising on Kickstarter, the Davek Alert Umbrella is here just in time for rainy spring weather.
Whenever you walk more than 30 feet away from the smart umbrella, you will receive a text message. This means if you accidentally leave it behind at a library, pub or elsewhere, you will be reminded before it's too late.
In September 2015, an associate app will be released that updates you on local weather. You can make the settings so that it also reminds you via text to bring an umbrella with you.
