Free-Spirited Retro Editorials

Damien Fry Photographs Lydia for an Exclusive Editorial

London-based photographer Damien Fry collaborated with stylist Marina German for an exclusive C-Heads editorial, starring a fresh-faced model named Lydia.

Lydia's youthful beauty, as well as the surrounding nature, breathe new life into the vintage clothes that German has dressed her in. The editorial shows the importance of context: the way in which you wear something becomes almost as important as what you're wearing. In this case, Lydia's carefree vibe (exemplified by her tousled hair, dewy makeup and dazed, dreamy expression) lends a bohemian vibe to each ensemble.

The beauty look was courtesy of Franziska Gottschlich, who took care of Lydia's hair and makeup, and Megumi Mizuno, who provided her creamy yellow manicure. In fact, the nails -- which are super long and rounded -- are instrumental in tying the looks together.
