adidas introduces a new range of the Día de Muertos collection highlighted by sneaker models. Ahead of the series is a pair of Sambas, which are transformed with a textural finish throughout the upper nodding to the Mexican holiday. It starts with a creamy black leather base and velvety suede for a softer feel along the upper.
It is all joined by white stitching in a dramatic form to add some more contrast -- this also references the calaveras or the sugar skull face emblem. Other themed details include the bone-shaped eye stays and the embroidered motifs in floral forms which add a pop of color. Additionally, the collection also features the adidas Crazychaos 2000 with a similar texture and themed motifs.
