Tubolito is bringing cycling tubes into a new generation with smart technology that lets cyclists measure the pressure of tires using NFC-enabled devices. Once a bicycle has been fitted with the company's smart inner tubes, they are capable of accurately measuring tire pressure by scanning the embedded NFC chip located near the valve.
The battery-free pressure sensor is incorporated straight into the Tubo-MTB PSENS tube and it gives riders the freedom to measure pressure in bar and PSI with an app on the go, and without the need for other equipment. According to the company, this is "the first smart bicycle tube in the world" and the chip only weighs a few grams, and since it's located within the tube, it is safe from small stones and other materials.
