Artist, cat lover and custom chopper designer Byron Hemmes has made an awesome black panther bike. Yep, he put a giant fiberglass puma on top of a motorcycle frame, painted it black and wants just $567,000 for it.
Who wouldn't jump at a deal like that? Hemmes is in talks with Jaguar about cross-branding the motorcycle.
Implications - Animals and vehicles are two combinations that go well together because they tend to imply speed and power. With definitions such as horsepower and car names such as Jaguar, combining animals and autos has become a big marketing strategy in car marketing. With a literal interpretation such as this panther motorcycle, it's truly apparent that an automobile's beastly connotations is a big selling point, both visually and in terms of performance.
