The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania has announced that it will accept cryptocurrency course payments through leading cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase.
As part of a collaboration with blockchain consulting company Prysm Group, Wharton is set to accept tuition fees in Bitcoin, Ethereum and USD Coin from students enrolled in its online certificate program on blockchain and digital assets. The course itself will involve technical aspects of digital currencies, case studies and lectures, and is designed to target professionals in the business and technology world who are looking to grow their competencies in the blockchain realm.
By showcasing real-world application of cryptocurrency payments whilst also educating students about blockchain, the Wharton School is looking to combine theoretical and practical aspects of the nascent world of cryptocurrency.
