Microsoft has been developing the new Cortana app and it is now available to testers. The system uses a new chat-based UI and will be available on Windows 10 compatible computers. The new design for the app is intended to operate in a more conversational way. In order to complete this, creators separated the voice assistant from search features on the computer.
The new Cortana app will have the ability to complete a number of tasks that are standard to most digital assistants. This includes general queries, assistant conversations, applications launches, list creation, reminders, alarms as well as timing features.
Microsoft is said to be adding new features as the Beta program progresses -- with the complete version of the digital assistant being released in early 2020.
