'Cordies' is a Crowdsourced Cable-Holding Device
Katie Cordrey — October 8, 2009 — Art & Design
Quirky is a website that crowdsources solutions to common design tasks and problems. Unruly cords of various types plague many of those who are plugged into multiple interface devices of the computer-centric world. They solved the need for quick plug-in and release with the ‘Cordie,’ a happy little desktop swoosh device designed to hold multiple cables securely in place.
No more searching the floor for fallen cords or unraveling the spaghetti masses to find that one missing plug. Cordies are available by pre-order through the Quirky development site. Once the minimum order level is reached, Cordies will be produced and the orders filled. The amounts that contributors to the product will earn are posted on the site.
