CONVERSE TOKYO's Spring/Summer Series Draws from Americana Films

CONVERSE TOKYO unveiled its lookbook for the Spring/Summer 2017 season, which spotlights colorfully clashing pieces that together comprise a clear 80s-inspired collection.

As HYPEBEAST reports, the looks take ques specifically from the Americana films that were popular during this time. The brand emulates this by including vintage-style flannels and baseball gear, as well as denim pieces of different washes and leather jackets. These pieces are put together in an unconventional fashion, with leather belts cinching the waist of baseball shorts and thick chains dangling from hats.

To present these looks, CONVERSE TOKYO employed the talents of photographer Kento Mori and stylist Ryota Yamada. The lookbook's muses pose against a pastel backdrop, which combines different hues of pink, orange and yellow for a calming aesthetic that contrasts well with the bright colors of the apparel.
