Converse and Madhappy reunite for a second collaboration centered on the Chuck 70, releasing a five-piece collection across Hi and Ox silhouettes on May 15. The lineup includes the colorways “Graystone,” “Lipstick Red,” “Natural Ivory,” “Black,” and “Thunderdaze Pinstripe.” The collection introduces material and construction updates including felt patches, oversized suede star cut-outs, pinstripe interiors, and cursive co-branding details applied across the silhouettes. The Graystone Chuck 70 Hi is exclusive to Madhappy.
The collection continues the design direction established during the brands’ first collaboration released in December 2025. Campaign imagery was photographed by Angela Hill and features Gene Gallagher, son of Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher. The visual presentation follows the same creative direction developed during the first release while introducing a new campaign subject for the second installment. Retail pricing is set at $130 USD for the Chuck 70 Hi and $120 USD for the Chuck 70 Ox.

Trend Themes
-
Collaborative Capsule Revivals — Frequent brand co-releases that reinterpret heritage models create room for cross-brand IP fusion and new co-branded sublines that reshape legacy product cycles.
-
Premiumized Heritage Silhouettes — Elevated materials and construction details on archival silhouettes point to demand for higher-margin, craftsmanship-forward variants of mass-market styles.
-
Limited-edition Exclusivity — Region- or retailer-exclusive drops and small-batch colorways generate scarcity-driven secondary markets and novel customer segmentation strategies.
Industry Implications
-
Footwear Manufacturing — Small-run production techniques and modular component sourcing enable rapid shifts between premium and standard assemblies across legacy models.
-
Fashion Marketing & Photography — Narrative-led campaigns featuring cultural figures and consistent visual direction magnify collaboration stories and create branded content franchises.
-
Retail & E-commerce — Integrated drop-timed retail strategies and exclusive online allocations foster new omnichannel inventory models and resale-integrated commerce offerings.
