Monterrey-based creative company La Tortilleria is tasked with creating a visually appealing identity for Chiapas-based socially conscious coffee brand Café Hermanos Macías.
The client sources its "blends and beans from micro farms ran by indigenous Tzotzil people." This business practice allows the brand to support the region's economy with fair wages and eco-friendly practices. To communicate the good-natured intent that is a part of the conscious coffee brand's ethos, La Tortilleria uses a package design that embraces vibrant colors in a composition that communicates the silhouettes of mountains and streams.
The sustainable and socially conscious coffee product can be delivered to consumers in a design-friendly subscription box of one or two packs. The aesthetic of the package is kept minimalist in order to reach an agreeable juxtaposition with the colorful appearance of the coffee bag.
