Self-Reliant Nonprofits

The Concern India Foundation Attempts to Empower Individuals

Founded in 1991, Concern India Foundation is a nonprofit that operates as a sort of umbrella organization across India working in community development, education and health. They work with non-governmental organizations in India by offering financial and non-financial aid to those groups, which in total help thousands of underprivileged people across the country in Kolkata, Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi and more.

The goal is to empower individuals and strive toward self-reliance. This is why their work is heavily involved in the numbers game, that is, monitoring, evaluating and tracking statistics in order to ensure the success and self-sufficiency of organizations in the short and long terms.
