Clever Paint Cans Dispense CMYK Mixed Color Dial Spray
Katie Cordrey — January 2, 2010 — Eco
No more lugging 14 cans of paint around to do property damage with graffiti: The Color Dial Spray system concept uses a dial-up color wheel that allows selection of hue and brightness then blends paint from cartridges of cyan, magenta, yellow and black to produce any final color based on the CMYK system.
The Color Dial Spray designers Young-suk Kim and Woo-sik Kim envision the refillable system as a way to keep used spray paint cans out of the landfill. While this is greener than one-use cans, a lot will depend on what propellant is used to get the paint out of the can.
