Colombian singer J Balvin, known for his creative contributions to the reggaeton scene, has been bestowed a high honor in the form of a footwear collaboration. Recently announced through an Instagram post, the musician will be working alongside "Jordan Brand NRG legend Franklin Cook" on a new silhouette for the iconic Nike Air Jordan 1s.

The shoe will embrace a hyper-colorful palette for the upper that is delivered in a gradient-like, tie-dye manner. With playfully ruffled edges, the chic sneaker boasts excess material in certain areas, as well as around the Swoosh. This makes for a distinct look. Moreover, the logo of J Balvin — a signature smiley face, is added to the heel of the shoe.
