UNOTES is a new venture launching a line of free college notebooks, suplemented by advertising. The program is rolling out nationally in September. For advertisers, the site describes, "UNOTES is a high quality notebook that would cost up to $6.99 in college bookstores. It has a life cycle of at leaset 4 months and it makes multiple impressions every day." To students, UNOTES pitches its slogan, "Free is Good."
Implications - Companies who create products that allow consumers to expand their knowledge will be seen as essential within many modern consumers' lives, especially since the desire forcontinuing education has been skyrocketing.
