Simple household accessories are always great opportunities to have a bit of fun with design. The Cogwheel-Hook is a functional set of organizational pegs, but it's been manufactured with a whimsical form and bright colors. Pulling a recognizable shape from a rotary machine, the creator of this coat rack affords other unique possibilities for its installation.
With the help of Essem Design of Sweden, Ola Giertz makes metal rings that have teeth sticking out around their circumferences. Each one of the 13 or so dentils can be used as a clothes hook once the cog-wheel contraption has been mounted on the wall. An exciting element is added to the iconic Cogwheel-Hook with a splash of color, and the items can even be arranged in clusters to look like adjacent parts of a turbine mechanism.
